Looking to start a new career in the Business field? Want to update or improve your skills?

Clovis Adult Education’s CTE Business Certificate Program offers an Administrative Assistant certificate, a Medical Assistant Front Office certificate, plus individual classes and workshops that are aligned to industry standards. The Administrative Assistant program prepares students to work in a variety of offices. The Medical Assistant Front Office program prepares students to work in a medical office setting or to upgrade their existing medical office skills. Both certificate programs provided in depth knowledge and develop expertise in: the Microsoft Office 2016 software suite, filing, data entry, computerized bookkeeping, research, effective communication, business ethics and customer service.

Prepare yourself with skills that meet the demands of today’s office environment. New classes begin every two months and students may attend classes part-time or full-time. Both the Administrative Assistant and the Medical Assistant Front Office qualify for the PELL grant, a form of financial aid. Admission Policy for the CTE Business Certificate Program

Prior to enrolling in classes, students must attend our Testing Orientation and Registration (TOR) meeting. When enrolling, the student must show proof of a high school diploma from an accredited institution or a GED® certificate and pass the TABE test in reading comprehension and math at the 7th grade level.

Keyboarding Certification
Keyboarding Certification is available for a low $25 fee. Call 559.327.2800 to make an appointment. Testing is offered 2 days per week and you have two hours to complete the process. This computerized test measures an applicant’s typing speed and accuracy. Typing Certificates are issued immediately following the test and the certificate is good for 1 year.

< The CTE Business programs are accredited by both WASC and COE, as such these programs qualify for Title IV Financial aid assistance.
