POLICIES & PROCEDURES
Clovis Adult Education and Clovis Unified Schools are equal opportunity employers. Our school follows a "Zero Tolerance" policy. Listed below are many of our primary procedures, and we encourage you to check our district website www.cusd.com for any other procedural information.
ATTENDANCE:
Upon enrolling, student attendance is critical. Classes need to have a minimum of 20 students enrolled in order for the class to continue. School administration reserves the right to allow or disallow classes with enrollments under 20 to proceed. In addition to adults 18 years of age and older, this school is authorized under federal law to enroll non-immigrant alien students. Any student may be dismissed from attending our school for disregarding CAE or CUSD attendance policies, class performance expectations, or disciplinary policies.
FEES:
Due to diminished state funds, Clovis Adult Education is forced to both increase current and impose program fees in all departments. Even with these changes we still offer the best and most affordable educational training available.
TOBACCO & DRUG FREE WORKPLACE:
Under Clovis Unified School District Governing Board policies, the use of tobacco products, alcohol, and illegal drugs is prohibited. Use of these products is not allowed on school and district property, which includes our parking lots.
SEXUAL HARRASSMENT:
Sexual harassment of or by any employee or student will not be tolerated. Offenders will face disciplinary actions that may include dismissal from school, and/or legal action. Posters regarding the reporting of an incident are found in our classrooms. CAE will follow district policy should a violation be reported.
COMPLAINT PROCEDURE:
CAE has both an "Informal" and Formal Complaint Procedure. These procedures are posted in all buildings and classrooms. Informal Complaint forms are available at our main campus. Formal Complaints are also available at our site as well as our district office, and online at www.cusd.com.
