Clovis Adult Education is always interested in meeting and hiring quality individuals to teach our students.
Our instructors fall under two basic categories: certificated and classified non-certificated.
Our instructors fall under two basic categories: certificated and classified non-certificated.
- Certificated teachers must have a state approved teaching credential authorizing the individual to teach in a specific area. A Single Subject, Multiple Subject, Vocational or Adult Education credential is required in order to teach in mandated attendance areas such as High School diploma, ESL, and Career Technical Education classes.
- Classified non-Certificated instructors are hired to instruct students for our Community Education and Summer Fun classes under this area. These self enrichment courses include everything from dance, exercise, real estate investing, to our Master Chef Series. Individuals, who possess "expertise" in a specific area and want to share their knowledge with others, are encouraged to contact us. A California teaching credential is not required for these classes.
